Private Meeting Spaces in No.1 O'Connell Street, Dublin City Centre
Whether you are looking for a bolt-hole for one or a private workspace for 25 of your team, we have you covered with three meeting spaces here at our newest venue in Dublin city centre, the iconic office building, No.1 O'Connell Street.
Location Means Best Foot Forward
Overlooking O'Connell Bridge, the meeting rooms here in tcube truly are in the heart of Dublin city centre. No.1 O'Connell Street is between 20 seconds and 3 minutes walk to over 100 Dublin and National buses, Red and Green LUAS trams, and Dart, commuter and national rail services. If you're coming from the airport laden with cases, you'll be pleased to know that the AirCoach stop is a massive 10 second walk from our door! Additionally, Dublin Bikes has a rack right outside of our entrance, and car parking is a short stroll away. With our close proximity to these vital public transport services your guests will arrive from their homes in a hop and a skip, meaning when they put their best foot forward, it will be inside with you, not having to tread the pavements any further than is absolutely necessary.
The History
Replacing No.1 Sackville Street (previously No.1 Lower Sackville Place), which was obliterated in the 1916 Rising, No.1 O'Connell Street was built and completed in 1922 with funding from the British Government, as many of the buildings along the East side of O'Connell Street were. The building was designed by renowned architects O’Callaghan & Webb for silversmiths Hopkins and Hopkins, who occupied this site for over almost 200 years. Hopkins and Hopkins, designed the GAA's Sam Maguire Cup right here in this building along with motor-racing's Leinster Trophy. Hopkins & Hopkins became known for their pocket watches (agents for Waltham Watch Company and later Rolex) and their Celtic art jewellery having purchased the dies for the Ardagh Chalice, the Tara Brooch and the Cross of Cong from the estate of William Cunningham Joyce in 1890. The building was sold to the Irish Nationwide Building Society in 1968.
Sun Soaked Atmosphere* & Picture Postcard Views
Whilst you set the agenda for your meeting, No.1 O'Connell Street sets the ambiance of it in the brightest and most stunning way. The south facing windows flood the building with natural sunlight*, the best vitamin to keep the mind alert and the soul alive.
With windows along two sides the views throughout No.1 O'Connell Street are amazing, and create a beautiful backdrop, particularly from the H&H Room on Floor 4; the Convention Centre and Burgh Quay to the South East, Trinity College and the Dublin Mountains to the South, St Patricks Cathedral, DCC and more of the Mountains to the South West, and the grey haired Daniel O'Connell to the West.
(*except when it's cloudy or dark outside!)
