tcube to Open New Coworking Space at No 1 O'Connell Street in Dublin City Centre
tcube Coworking has acquired the landmark building, No1 O’Connell Street, which will provide 60 new coworking places for Dublin's remote workers
The prestigious building at No 1 O’Connell Street is rich with history. Occupying a prominent site at the corner of O’Connell Street and Eden Quay, the original structure, like many of the buildings in this area, was destroyed during the 1916 Rising. It was rebuilt in 1922 for jewellers Hopkins & Hopkins, however most Dubliners will remember it as the flagship premises for the Irish Nationwide Building Society, with enormous green lettering visible from O’Connell Bridge.
tcube has been a leading provider of coworking, event and meeting space, and serviced office solutions since 2013. The COVID-19 pandemic brought about the world’s biggest experiment for digital workers working from home, concluding with an evolving model of remote working. Our Westmoreland Street space is back to 99% capacity, and has paved the way for us to open a new venue in Dublin city centre.

tcube's Barry Alistair said; “Since COVID-19 vaccinations began earlier this year we have experienced a surge of new and existing members coming back into tcube Westmoreland Street because they are fed up working from home. Although the pandemic had hit us hard, we were always convinced that our city centre location and low-cost, no-frills model would see apartment dwellers, desperate to separate their work and home lives, seeking alternative ways to work for their employers remotely."
The panoramic views from No 1 O’Connell Street across the River Liffey are the best in Dublin city centre, stretching to Trinity College, Grafton Street and the Dublin Mountains beyond. The south facing building has an abundance of natural daylight and makes the internal space bright and productive.
In addition to coworking desks, No1 O’Connell Street will host serviced office space, meeting rooms, event and collaboration space.
tcube, No1 O’Connell Street, opens mid November.
